Welcome home Baby Sister!

Welcome home baby sister Grace! She was born Sept 22nd at 12:21 am, weighing 7 lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long. We're so excited that she came home from the hospital. Mom noticed the contractions around 9:00, but they weren't particularly disconcerning off the bat. Eventually Mom and Dad woke me up and took me to Val and Ray's house that evening at around 11:20. They were diverted from OHSU (their hospital) to Providence. Turns out Providence was a bit closer and that was a lucky thing! They arrived at the hospital and got in to the labor and delivery around 11:45... next thing you know ... Grace was on her way! They hadn't even checked in properly before the nurse said "that's the baby!" and called in the nearest midwife and other nurses who made it in just in time to catch her on the way out! I stayed with Val, Ray and Joaquin until Grandma arrived that evening. They were so sweet and wonderful to me... we got chocolate croissants and played in the yard! We stopped by to bring dinner, a beautiful quilt, and visit Baby Sister Grace, Mom and Dad at the hospital before heading home with Grandma. The next day, Grandma and I had a great day together getting things organized. Uncle Ry came in that afternoon and that night the whole family came home! Everyone has been so wonderful and helpful, making this transition smooth, beautiful and surrounded by love and fun.
