Thankful for Vegas

Happy Thanksgiving!!  We are thankful for the week off school for Owen (so he got to join me at the Y), for family family family, for Uncle Ryan and Grandma and Grandpa for hosting Thanksgiving, for being able to spend time with Auntie Ann, Jay, Katie, Sam, Adam, for wonderful food, for bowling, for fantastic fun parks, for spa-days for the mamas, for sunshine, for football, for hugs and for all of our blessings.  We are thankful.

We have been traveling a lot, to Uncle Ry's house and back just tonight, so today's post is going to be largely photo driven.  We saw lots, ate even more, and had a fantastic time with everyone.

  • the awesome playground near Uncle Ry's house.
  • Fun climbing walls

  • my first big-kid swing.  I copied a dad that was swinging next to me and almost got the foot pump going pretty well.

  • much more climbing
  • lots of slides and sliding... thanks Uncle Ryan for going down the fast ones with me :)
  • mmm turkey
  • A feast. I love turkey and O got to eat a leg, made him pretty happy.
  • family eats.
  • Bowling + cool egyptian soccer shirt and nubian hat from Grandma.  Two games with Dad, Grandpa, Auntie Ann and Mom.  O. stayed up late but had a BLAST! Grandma and I read books, watched spongebob and cuddled.

  • black-lights
  • bowling shoes are so cool!
  • Visit to shark reef while the older gals got pampered.
  • Lion fish

  • Jelly fish and I think that's a silly fish

  • Yummy Italian dinner to celebrate Auntie Ann's 60th birthday...
  • Cruising the Bellagio with Uncle Ryan, Katie and Adam
  • Dancing Fountains
  • Chocolate fountain... seriously, two tons of circulating chocolate, white, light and dark.
  • Pillow forts (of course)

  • Owen and Sam watching football (and not wrestling, for a moment of peace)
  • Best coffee (says Mom) in Las Vegas.  I am pretty sure this is true.
  • Parks and more walks
  • With blue skies, sunshine and warm weather.  So nice.

One more bowling adventure (Owen is hooked) with Katie, Adam, Auntie Ann, Grandpa, Grandma, Mom and Dad.

  • And one final park adventure before leaving.
What a wonderful weekend, with deep gratitude for this family time and for all of our friends and family out there we reentered grey drizzly Portland where the weather is chilly but our hearts are warm.
