Onward

We had a serious cold-snap this week which kept us home an extra day (on top of veterans day and another inservice day) and really a whole lot of time at home this week.
We firstly extend our gratitude to Uncle Ryan, Grandpa Steves and all who have served to protect us.  We spent the sunny but cold day at the new nature park in Westmoreland with our friends Joaquin and Esme and even met with Alice and Henry by chance!  It was a beautiful park and so much fun to play...
the spartan and not so great pictures do not do justice to the great water/sand park where we could build dams, and divert water all over, the great rock and log climbing, the cool places to build forts everything was pretty great!
 even the snacks.
We followed up a great morning playing in the park with lunch at Jade teahouse, which was pretty tasty as well.  We got our school pictures in... both of us did great.
Grace has been loving to play games lately ... creatively as well.
and playing with some new stuffies Mom put together.
Dad took us out a lot this weekend, in part so Mom could rest her foot and Grade.  Saturday, we went to the farmer's market and picked up some mushrooms and other veggies.  That night we made a great pumpkin raviolli with chanterelle and sage sauce.  Sooooo amazingly good.

Today we went to church in the morning and ate waay too many pancakes and cookies before heading to the theater.  Grace has been asking and asking to go to the theater for a few weeks now so we went to see Ivy and Bean, which was super great.  And in the tradition of some marginal pictures this week... this is the best shot of us at the show.  I think it was an accident.
