Filled with gratitude

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  We are so grateful that we got to spend this weekend and several feasts with Grandma and Grandpa!
I am particularly thankful that they indulge my enthusiasm for games!  Here's evidence of one of the best Apples to Apples games ever witnessed!  Grandpa and Grandma can seriously sell a story!
While we were playing, Dad was working on our Thanksgiving feast.  We had a wonderful meal

including Dad's rotisserie turkey, and all of the trimmings!  Not to mention that we have had a steady stream of sweet treats the entire weekend!  I am pretty excited since I was introduced to Indiana Jones this weekend and Loved it!  After feasting and having a lovely and relaxing day together, Grace and I took turns staying over at the hotel, so that was a great treat!  Grandma, Grandpa and I woke and met Mom, Dad, and Grace down at the parade on Friday morning!  It was perfect!  By perfect, I mean people handed out treats along the route and we were in prime position!
Everyone else was pleased because it was just the right amount of crowds, length, and fun!  Even Grace, who spent much of the parade hidden in the depths of the family,
eventually found her way right up to the curb, to sit down with Grandma!

Grandpa Tom even had a sparkle when he saw the Beat Goes On, a band of retirees that really put on a pretty great show!  I think he is setting his sights on taking his Flute practice on the road!
and of course, moving the seasons on through to the Christmas season!
after walking around in the crisp morning it was pretty wonderful to be able to spend the rest of the morning in the very warm pool at the hotel!
followed by some awesome donuts back at the house!
Grandpa and Grandma took us to a yummy dinner out at Cafe Castagna and we finished up a great weekend hanging out with Grandpa while Dad tried out a kettlebell class and Mom and Grandma went looking at fabric.  After they took off back home, We headed to the Mt Hood tree farm to pick out our tree!

It was a beautiful, crystalline day, the frosty ground crunched underneath our feet to reveal some great mud!

Plus there was a gorgeous view of Mt Hood!

I got to do a lot of the cutting this time!  We picked a pretty sweet little tree

It is perfect!  I had a sleep-over at my Friend Kale's house, and we had a blast... there were lots of nerf wars.  The folks picked me up this morning and we kicked off Advent at Church.

This afternoon we finished hooking up the new heat-pump (yay!!!)  and finally decorated our beautiful tree!
